New Season, New Kombucha Recipes

Summer is just around the corner and that means time for fresh new kombucha recipes! We recently introduced our new summer seasonal flavor: Power Flower. It’s a bright, floral brew with notes of hibiscus, orange, lemon, and thyme. Each of our Brew Dr. kombuchas is unique, offering limitless possibilities to liven up all kinds of recipes. From cocktails and salad dressings to baked goods and smoothies, kombucha adds that special ingredient that takes even the most tried and true recipe to the next level.

Smoothies and Smoothie Bowls

Who doesn’t love a cool, refreshing smoothie when the thermometer heads north? Smoothies are a great treat any time of day, especially as a healthy and fast breakfast, an after-workout energizer or a mid-afternoon boost. We love smoothies because they’re so versatile. You can swap different fruits, add greens and protein powder, collagen peptides, spirulina powder, ground flaxseeds and anything else you can think of to make your smoothie recipe your very own. Just don’t forget the Brew Dr. Kombucha!

Power-Flower-Smoothie

Power Flower Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1 orange, peeled
1 Tbsp hemp seeds
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup Brew Dr. Kombucha Power Flower

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

Strawberry Basil Smoothie_

Strawberry Super Smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries
1 frozen banana
⅓ cup Brew Dr. Kombucha Strawberry Basil
¼ cup coconut milk
1 tsp hemp seeds

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

Love Smoothie Bowl

Love Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie Ingredients:
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 Tbsp hemp seeds
½ cup Brew Dr. Kombucha Love

Bowl Ingredients:
Sliced fruit, such as bananas, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
Nut butter, such as cashew, almond or peanut
Maple syrup or honey

Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Add to a bowl and top with banana, strawberries, raspberries, granola, cashew butter and a drizzle of maple syrup. Enjoy!

Cocktails and Mocktails

You could make a cocktail or mocktail with club soda, but why would you when you could infuse your beverage with the amazing flavors of Brew Dr. Kombucha? Our kombuchas are packed with fruits and botanicals, the perfect mixer for your favorite drink. Having guests? Offer a house kombucha cocktail and you’re little get together is suddenly a party! Don’t forget the little ones and those who want in on the fun without the booze. A beautiful kombucha mocktail is a party in a glass that everyone can enjoy.

Power Flower Cocktail

Power Flower Cocktail

Ingredients:
1 ½ oz white rum
1 bottle Brew Dr. Kombucha Power Flower
Handful of blueberries
Splash of fresh squeezed OJ
3 basil leaves, divided

Directions:
Muddle a handful of blueberries and 2 basil leaves in a glass. Add ice, rum and OJ. Fill the rest of the glass with kombucha. Top with extra berries and a basil leaf for garnish. Yum!

Power Flower Mocktail

Power Flower Mocktail

Ingredients:
4 blood oranges, juiced
¼ pineapple, cut into small pieces
1 bottle Brew Dr. Kombucha Power Flower

Directions:
Add pineapple to a glass and muddle. Fill about ¼ of the glass with the fresh blood orange juice. Top off the glass with the kombucha. Add a slice of orange to the rim for garnish. Enjoy!

Dressing

There’s nothing better than homemade salad dressing, except when it has the subtle flavor of Brew Dr. Kombucha! Kombucha is slightly vinegary and tart, making it a perfect addition to salad dressing. It’s also amazing in marinades. Make enough for one or fill a bottle to have it on hand anytime you want to toss a little magic into those leaves. The recipe below has an Asian flair and is great on a salad, blanched green beans, shredded cabbage and even as a dip for potstickers, sushi and tempura.

Salad Dressing

Tamari-Booch Salad Dressing

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp organic tamari
2 Tbsp sesame oil
1 knob grated ginger
½ tsp garlic flakes (or minced garlic)
1 Tbsp Brew Dr. Kombucha Love
3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
½ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Mix all ingredients in a jar with a lid and shake vigorously. Chill in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes up to a week. Shake before use.
