Kombucha: Buying in Bulk Has Never Been Easier

Can’t Get Enough Kombucha!

We have a lot of fans out there who love our kombucha. So much so that they want to buy or sell it in bulk. From kombucha fanatics who can’t imagine a fridge that isn’t stocked with Brew Dr. Kombucha to retailers who want to offer their customers the best kombucha on the planet, we want to make it easy and simple to buy kombucha in bulk.

There are advantages of buying in bulk, most notably because you won’t soon run out of kombucha goodness. If you decide to buy in bulk, be sure you have ample refrigerated space to store kombucha. Kombucha is a living product, full of beneficial bacteria that need to be cared for at certain temperatures. If kombucha is heated, such as if it is left in a hot car, garage, or warehouse for an extended period of time, the naturally-occurring probiotics will die.

But that’s not all. If kombucha is left unrefrigerated, it will continue to ferment, producing more alcohol and an increasingly strong vinegary taste you and your customers likely won’t enjoy too much. We stop fermentation by refrigerating our brews at a precise time to control the length of the fermentation process to ensure a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness with minimal amounts of alcohol. Generally, we recommend not leaving kombucha out unrefrigerated for more than 24 hours. While it won’t necessarily go bad, it just won’t be as good as intended.

This attention to temperature goes for consumers and retailers. With that understood, let’s break down how to get your hands on more kombucha.

Consumers

Some of our customers drink kombucha every day. If this is you, you’re probably looking for a quick and easy way to stock your fridge. Even if you drink it less frequently but you’re having a party, you may wonder the best way to serve kombucha. Keep in mind, people not only love drinking kombucha straight from the bottle (or can), but kombucha makes a fantastic mixer in many mixed drinks. Check out a few of our kombucha cocktails and mocktails blogs below for great ideas on how to liven up any party.

We sell our kombuchas in bulk in several ways:

Kegs

Draft kombucha is amazing. Restaurants, bars, markets, and even office break rooms often offer kombucha as an alternative to sugary, boring sodas, and/or as mixers in alcoholic drinks or the increasingly-popular mocktails. The average soda has around 35 grams of sugar per serving. That’s 7 teaspoons of sugar if you’re counting. Brew Dr. Kombucha, on the other hand, has only 15 grams or less of sugar per serving, which is about 3 1/2 teaspoons of sugar. Big difference.

We sell different sizes of kegs in our most popular flavors. All keg shells are charged a deposit from the distributor to the customer that can be refunded or rolled over when the keg shell is returned.

Pallets

If you are a retailer, you probably already know your customers want kombucha. Kombucha sales have skyrocketed over the past decade for many reasons, including the fact that kombucha has less sugar than sodas and juices, comes in a wide variety of flavors, and has beneficial bacteria. The kombucha market is expected to grow to $2.5 billion by 2022.

For resellers who want to tap into that market and give their customers what they really want, we sell pallets of canned or bottled Brew Dr. Kombucha. We will offer you wholesale pricing if you order a minimum quantity. Just like our keg purchasers, we will work with you to determine how much kombucha you should order depending on your type of business and customer base.
