REGION Vice President OF SALES, EAST – New York, NY

Purpose: VP of Sales, East, will work closely with the CEO, President, Board of Directors, and Sales Directors to manage all aspects of sales. Will manage and grow sales through the expansion of chain authorizations and distribution partnerships across the Eastern U.S. and Eastern Canada. Will also work with the CEO, President, and Sales Directors to develop a strategy and will be responsible for managing execution. This leader will need to build a collaborative plan with the field marketing team to grow the business and help the team thrive together.

Job Duties:
  • Directly manage the existing sales teams and work collaboratively with the west sales organization and national accounts team.
  • Grow sales teams as needed, making necessary efforts to find, interview, hire and train new team members
  • Develop a method of managing the sales team, including implementing reporting tools and weekly task scheduling
  • Create and manage the annual budget for staff and trade spend
  • Manage the Company’s relationship with existing broker partners to make the most of these relationships.
  • Create a way to measure broker success and be able to report the metrics to the CEO and Sales Director.
  • Manage and maximize the existing accounts and distributor relationships that the team at BDK has built to this point in the Eastern U.S. and Eastern Canada
  • Our goal is to build a nationwide DSD distributor network and this person would be responsible for helping build out the network in areas not currently covered
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in the field to build market-specific plans that incorporate sales, distribution, key accounts, and field marketing activities. Our goal is to be best in class in working together to execute region-specific plans
  • Work with the operations team to provide an updated forecast. Constant proactive communication with our operations and logistics team is paramount to success at Brew Dr.
  • Continue to establish BDK as the premier kombucha company by adding to the infrastructure, culture, and evangelizing the Brew Dr. brand.
The Basics for the Position:
  • Proven experience with people management, project, and department management is required, including responsibility for developing business plans, sales forecasts, and budget management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Highly experienced in working with industry data; leveraging SPINS, IRI or Nielsen data
  • Excellent understanding of consumer marketing
  • This is a “hands-on” role, must be able to create and execute
  • New product development experience
  • Strong agency relationships
  • Excellent leader and team builder
  • Travel when needed for trade shows and to meet the chain/store buyers, distributor partners, broker partners, and team members
Candidate should have:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8-10 years of related experience and/or training
  • Prior experience working with products in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry preferred
