Transparency is one of our core values at Brew Dr., and we want to share some news with our customers about some of our Uplift products.
Although our Uplift line is typically shelf stable, a very small number of our 16 oz cans of Uplift Yerba Mate made before March 23, 2021 have shown to be not entirely shelf stable. These cans have the potential to continue fermenting if stored outside of refrigeration, causing excessive and unwanted carbonation and a bulged can package. There is no health risk from the liquid itself.
The issue that caused this in our production of Uplift has been corrected, and all cans made after are not potentially affected — This is not a recall for every can of Uplift everywhere.
Below is the list of Uplift flavors and the expiration dates that identify the affected product. The expiration date is located on the bottom of the can.
Again, it is only a very small number of the cans within these batches that are at risk, but even a small number is unacceptable to us. If you have a can of Uplift with an expiration of or before the dates listed above, please reach out to be compensated for that purchase.
Our distributors have pulled the affected items from store shelves and have replaced them with the new batches. Any Uplift you see on a store shelf should already show an expiration date later than the affected list above.
Thank you for your understanding. We truly value our relationship and transparency with you and invite any questions you have!
