We want to share some big news with you all!
Did you know that Townshend's Tea Company and Brew Dr. Kombucha have actually always been one company? Matt Thomas founded Townshend's in 2006 based on his love of tea and desire to spread awareness of everything that tea is capable of. In 2008, he began making kombucha from the same great teas and botanicals served in Townshend’s Teahouses. After success brewing kombucha at the teahouses, he gave it the name Brew Dr. and set about growing it as a new arm of the tea company.
Over the years both companies have grown and we’re very excited to announce that we have made the thoughtful decision to unite the brands under the name Brew Dr., however, we will carry the spirit of Townshend’s with us every step of the way. With that being said, all of our Townshend’s Teahouses* will be transitioning to Brew Dr. Teahouses over the coming weeks.
We are excited to be united under one banner for the first time. From classic tea, chai, matcha, and boba to refreshing kombucha, you can expect both our fan-favorites alongside new innovations being served at our Brew Dr. Teahouses. Cheers!
